An Evening with The Waiting Room
The Waiting Room—A Tribute to Genesis & Peter Gabriel
The Waiting Room has been thrilling fans with remarkably accurate performances of Genesis and Peter Gabriel music throughout North America for more than a decade. Based in Western New York, the band is fronted by Josh Gleason, whose voice bears such an uncanny resemblance to Gabriel’s that fans are typically amazed and delighted. The group also features Rich DellaPietra on keyboards, Mike Hughes on bass and guitar, Mario Encina on drums, and John Covach on guitar.
The Waiting Room pays close attention to recreating the vintage sounds of 70s-era Genesis, often using the same equipment to create careful and powerful renditions of classics like “Watcher of the Skies,” “The Musical Box,” and “Supper’s Ready.” Waiting Room shows offer a celebration of this great and dynamic music, which ranges from quiet and delicate musings of multiple 12-string guitars to the aggressive rock ‘n roll grandeur of the apocalypse.
